Marco Panizza and the PAC
I needed an artist who could attune to our history and respond with a major project, worthy of an equally demanding ministerial call for proposals. I had no doubts: Umberto Cavenago.
The PAC (Piano per l’arte contemporanea – Plan for Contemporary Art), promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity, was a gamble and my last challenge before retirement.
Marco Panizza
Marco Panizza served as curator of the Museo del Premio di Suzzara from 1999. He worked on art education with Prof. Marco Dallari of the University of Trento, later setting up a working group at the Museum. From 2008 he promoted art therapy workshops with Prof. Carlo Coppelli. He curated exhibitions of contemporary artists and is the author of numerous articles and writings on art education, art therapy and the history of the Museum for newspapers, magazines and books. In 2018 he led the new course of the Premio Suzzara at its fiftieth edition with the artist Umberto Cavenago. Since 1980 he has been involved in theatre and research, in recent years also in the field of social distress.
